Assessment of Cases for Parole Consideration

With a former Board Member of the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles (the “Georgia Parole Board”) reviewing our clients’ cases, McIntyre & Associates offers clients a unique parole assessment of their cases which no other law firm in Atlanta or the entire state of Georgia can provide. Our firm evaluates clients’ cases to determine what the recommendation to the Georgia Parole Board should be under the Parole Decision Guidelines system and to identify mitigating and aggravating factors that we believe will impact the Georgia Parole Board Members’ decision in a client’s case. We also provide the client with an assessment of how we believe the client’s case will be perceived by the Georgia Parole Board and offer suggestions of steps that the client should take prior to the client’s initial or next consideration by the Georgia Parole Board.

For clients seeking general guidance about parole issues or who have limited resources to expend on parole matters, McIntyre & Associates offers a Parole Consultation Day. For a flat rate, former Georgia Parole Board Member Milton “Buddy” Nix, Jr. and attorney Victoria Smith will meet with a convicted client or a convicted offender’s friend or family member for one hour after reviewing pertinent documents pertaining to the conviction. During that hour, an assessment of the case will be shared and suggestions will be made regarding what steps should be made prior to the next consideration of the case by the Georgia Parole Board.
